DkIT 10k and 5K Sponsorship!

Dundalk Credit Union Supports a Sold-Out DkIT 10K & 5K Run

On Tuesday, 9th April, the sun was shining down on Dundalk as runners laced up for the annual DkIT 10Km & 5Km event and what a fantastic evening it turned out to be! With the race completely sold out, the energy was high, the community spirit was strong, and we were proud to be right in the heart of it.

As a local, member-owned financial institution, Dundalk Credit Union is committed to supporting events that bring our community together. Sponsoring the DkIT run allowed us to promote health, wellness, and connection, values that align closely with our mission. It also gave us the opportunity to engage with members in a meaningful way, showcase the range of financial services we provide, and remind people that we’re here to support them through every stage of life.

We were delighted to sponsor the water cups for all runners, a small but essential part of helping everyone reach the finish line. After the run, participants and supporters were welcomed into DkIT Sport, where tea, coffee, sandwiches, and biscuits were generously provided by DkIT. We had a stand set up inside, where our team offered helpful advice on the credit union’s products and services, from savings and loans to mortgages and online banking.

It was a brilliant evening filled with energy, achievement, and smiles. One of the standout moments was seeing Paul Kieran’s, the first runner to cross the finish line in the 5K there was also a young man running the 5K with his dog, a true crowd favourite! Many participants stopped to grab a photo with our selfie cut-out, capturing the moment and the fun of the evening.

Events like this remind us just how important community support is. It was a pleasure to meet so many people who stopped by our stand for a chat. Thank you for the warm conversations and kind words.
