St. Patrick’s Day in Dundalk 2026

Dundalk Credit Union was proud to support this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade as a main sponsor, alongside Louth County Council, Dundalk Chamber of Commerce and BIDs. Being able to support an event that brings so many people in our town together is something we value deeply, and in 2026, we took that commitment one step further.

This year’s parade theme, “A World of Imagination,” inspired our team to dream big. The result? Our magical Credit Union float, a fairytale‑themed creation imagined, designed and brought to life entirely by our staff.

The float featured scenes representing key moments in our members’ lives; buying your first home, getting your dream car, celebrating your big day, and taking a well-earned holiday. It was a simple but way for us to show the many ways we support our community throughout life’s milestones.

Our team fully embraced the day, with staff and their children dressing as Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, The Wicked Witch, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty and the Beast, and of course our Big Red Book mascot. Seeing so many familiar faces along the route, and the excitement from children enjoying the display, made the effort worthwhile.

We would like to congratulate the St. Patrick’s Day Committee on delivering a fantastic parade this year. The variety of groups, the addition of circus performers, and the strong community turnout all contributed to a great event for the town.
