How to Become a Member

Joining our credit union is easy and we’d love to welcome you as a member if you live or work within our Common Bond. This area covers the Municipal District Area of Dundalk. You’re also eligible to join if you live in the same household as a current member or attend a school within our Common Bond.

To join, please bring three pieces of identification with you when you call in to us.

  • Photo ID (a valid, in date drivers licence or passport
  • Proof of current address (a household bill or financial statement dated within the last 6 months)
  • Proof of your PPS number or Tax ID number
  • If you do NOT live within our Common Bond you will also need proof of employment within the Common Bond (a letter or payslip from your employer confirming employment)

If you’d like to help a minor (under 16 years old) join the credit union, we’d need to see:

  • The child’s birth certificate
  • Proof of PPS number or Tax Id number
  • Proof of current address belonging to the parent/legal guardian
  • Photo ID (a valid, in date drivers licence or passport
  • In the case where photographic ID is not available for the minor, photographic ID for the parent/legal guardian opening the account will be needed.

We charge a small fee of 19 cents to join and new members are able to open their Dundalk Credit Union accounts with a minimum deposit of €1.

You’ll be warmly welcomed by our many other members!
